Swim Lessons
Delta Diving offers private lessons, small group lessons, and parent-child lessons. We’re excited to teach swimmers of all ages, 6 months and up — there’s no maximum age limit! You’re never too old to learn a new skill.
Whether you’re signing up for your first lessons or refining your strokes for swim team, we’ll meet you where you’re at and build a plan together to get you where you want to be — and then do the plan!
Check out our safety plan and pricing, and when you’re ready to book, email info@deltadiving.co!
Please note: we are currently operating out of Athens, GA, and are in compliance with Izzy’s Law.
What does Izzy’s Law require of private swim instructors?
We have small ratios for our classes that vary a little by age and skill level, but typically the instructor:student ratio will be 1:1 or 1:2.
We will have a certified lifeguard present for all lessons for secondary supervision. That lifeguard will have a rescue tube, first aid kit, and resuscitation (CPR) mask on hand.
Grown-up caregivers to our students are encouraged to watch their little swimmer’s lessons! We’ll debrief with you after each lesson to go over what was covered and what you can practice at home to help your student keep learning.
All of our instructors are First Aid & CPR certified.
While not mandated by Izzy’s Law, Delta Diving instructors do carry professional liability insurance for everyone’s peace of mind.
Safety is our top priority at Delta Diving. Want to take a look at our Aquatic Safety Plan? We’re happy to share!
Pricing
Below, you’ll notice a range of prices listed for each lesson type and length. This is our sliding scale — the way Delta Diving is making top-quality swim lessons more accessible for more people.
We ask that you pay as much as you are able to on the appropriate scale; your generosity and respect for our time and expertise helps your community access these lessons when they may not otherwise have been able to.
Thank you for helping us balance between accessibility for our community and sustainability for us as instructors!
Private Lessons
Lessons with one student at a time. For students younger than 2 years of age, parents are welcome to join us in the water for no additional cost — like a private parent-child class.
30 minute lesson: $55 — $80
45 minute lesson: $82.50 — $120
60 minute lesson: $110 — $160
Additional fees may apply for travel to your pool.
Small Group Lessons
Lessons with two to four students at a time. Class size is dependent on the age and ability level of the students. As with private lessons, parents of students under the age of 2 are welcome to join us in the water — like a small group parent-child class.
30 minute lesson, per child: $30 — $45
45 minute lesson, per child: $45 — $67.50
60 minute lesson, per child: $60 — $90
Additional fees may apply for travel to your pool.
Parent-Child Lessons
Lessons with up to 10 parent-child pairs, especially for students under the age of 2. This is a group water acclimation class — we are building a foundational relationship between the child and water. Parents learn how to safely foster that connection and what to work on at home! A parent or trusted grown up must get in the pool!
This group class will only run when at least 5 parent-child pairs are interested and available. Please email us to express your interest!
30 minute lesson, per child: $40 — $70
Parent-Child lessons are only offered in 30-min slots.
Additional fees may apply for travel to your pool.
Payment is due at the conclusion of each lesson.
Delta Diving accepts a few different forms of payment:
Cash, PayPal, and Zelle.
We will ask what form of payment you will use when you book with us!
At this time we are not offering lesson packages.
